Stupid dreams.
In one of the dreams I had, I probably was just an invisible watcher. I was in some classroom that looked different from the usual chilean high-school classrooms. I was watching from outside. And then I saw a short, skinny girl with very long hair, which I immediately recognized.

Eliana was very sad, like struggling to stay awake in front of a very boring, absurdly easy class. Just after the class ended, Eliana left the room. I followed her as quickly as I could.

Another classroom. Another familiar figure. Jet black hair, fuchsia hair ribbon. Rosa was concentrated, writing something on a notebook. Eliana was right in front of her, trying to get Rosa's attention. Rosa looked at her, then kept writing. Eliana shrugged and sat next to Rosa.

The windows stopped me from getting inside. I was invisible but still had a body that couldn't fit within one of those windows. I was so caught in looking at them that it didn't occur me to go around the classrooms to get inside the room. Eventually I did so, but there was no one around when I entered the room. I quickly woke up from that.

Something that distressed me was the fact that I couldn't see of them more than their jumper-clad bodies and their hair. Their faces looked so blurry and featureless. Besides... school? That scene could only happen in 1999 or earlier.

Another dream had me as... me. Alone in some building, with a strong feeling of despair I thought I had long since left behind. As I was walking I saw certain slim female figure dressed in jeans and a turquoise sweater, short brown hair and face round like a dish. Before I could say anything she turned around and left, and I felt really depressed. And then I woke up like, " what the heck was supposed to be that about? WHARRGARBL! 2004 is over, foo, and it was a mistake anyways. Stupid classmate. GTFO my mind. " and went back to sleep.

When I woke up, I looked at some notebook. There was an old doodle about Azumanga, some giant Sakaki growing bigger and bigger, while Chiyo was freaking out and Osaka was mocking/envying Sakaki's breast size. A mischievous wish-granting imp appeared from nowhere, and offered Sakaki a wish. Sakaki wished to become as short and cute as Chiyo. The imp granted Sakaki that wish, and a small Sakaki appeared next to Chiyo and Osaka, smiling to both. And it was all good until teacher Kimura appeared from nowhere and stared at them, yelling " KAWAII!!!", causing the girls to run away scared.

I then made another doodle, one of those in the series " Chile shall never be at the Olympics. See: ", narrated by Eliana Martínez. This is a series of comics depicting the Martínez Gómez brothers at all sorts of sports, olympic and non-olympic, with various degrees of success, that I started drawing in summer 1996 following the Atlanta Summer Olympics. I doubt I'll put those comics in the main Sueños del Sur story, since they're mostly fantasies and random stuff, and those will go to the gallery when I find myself with time to scan them.

Anyways, this one featured a future Eliana at some 100 meters dash. All the other sprinters were black and much taller. When the dash started, Eliana got quickly on the head, but also quickly ran out of energy, and was eventually surpassed by at least one sprinter. Eliana then woke up from that and yelled " I'm not letting this to happen! My name is Eliana Martínez! " and then dashed very quickly to win the race at the last second. Eliana collapsed unconscious, and had to be brought to an hospital. A doctor told her that she would be unable to go for the gold medal because of health issues, and Eliana bursted into crying.

Looking at myself in the mirror, I can but think of a Garfield sketch in which he met a rather active and attractive female cat:
- So, what are your hobbies, Garfield?
- To eat and to sleep.
- Oooh. I like dancing, aerobics, cycling, [ a long list of hobbies and stuff ]. But I find your life very interesting.
- [...]

Except that, lately, I've been dedicating more and more time to dream than to sleep.
